Cardiotocography
A medical monitoring method called cardiotocography (CTG) is used to measure the uterine contractions and the fetal heart rate (FHR) throughout pregnancy and labor. It is frequently used to keep an eye on the fetus' health, particularly in high-risk pregnancies.
Usually, two sensors are used in CTG:
A Doppler ultrasonography machine that measures the fetal heart rate is called a fetal heart rate sensor.
A pressure transducer that gauges the frequency and force of uterine contractions is called a uterine contraction sensor.
