I understand Singapore Airlines prides itself for being a leading airline company. All my friends, who have flown Singapore Airlines in the past, have provided me with great feedback in terms of customer service, professionalism, on-board care, timely departures and arrivals, luggage collection system, refund system during COVID impacts, ease of booking etc. No wonder, why Singapore Airlines is considered one of the best in the world.
However, my recent experience with Singapore Airlines hasn't been great. Especially, dealing with customer service after my original booking was changed by Singapore Airlines. The following table outlines (in Red), the change in transit time which is going to cause me a lot of hassles and cost. The sudden change in the booking by Singapore Airlines have left me with an extra 29hour 20 min transit in Singapore, which is going to be a costly, painful exercise for me and my family.
As I have to travel to Bangladesh, cancelling/ refunding my flight is not an option. I still want to travel by Singapore Airlines this time (following my friend's recommendations), All I am asking Singapore Airline Customer Service Section to consider my scenario, and either pay reasonable amount for my expenditure (i.e., hotel, meals, taxi vouchers), which should have been offered anyway or provide me with a discount in the air fare to compensate for the loss (i.e., discount paid to my account).
I hope somebody higher in the organisation has a close look at this as speaking to customer service representative only left me to frustrations and I was having second thoughts of choosing Singapore Airlines in the future. Unfortunately, my personal experience so far with Singapore Airlines hasn't been great.
I am pretty sure if somebody (e.g., Customer Service Manager, Customer Dispute Resolution Manager or similar) with higher authority looks into my case, they will be able to resolve the issue.
