12 reviews of BRITISH AIRWAYS "Where to start with British Airways...this could either end well or terrible.
Out of the six or seven times I've flown with them, only a few times there have been issues. The most recent flight to Heathrow being one of them. Flew from DFW to Heathrow and we were delayed two hours due to mechanical issues. Well when an airlines operates the queens hump (Boeing 747) for trans Atlantic flights, there is a chance of issues as the planes have seen their better days. This is not to say the 747 is not ideal for flights, but really needs to be replaced or moved to cargo transport versus PAX. Either way, once getting on board and finding my seat, I was greeted with the 15 year old cabin, word down seats, very tiny screen, and yellow walls that were once white. Even with all of the negatives, the staff was amazing and catered to all my needs, so three cheers to them on that note. Games, music, and movies/TV shows were ample, so no complaints there, but honestly spent most of my time sleeping since the flight was empty (Hooray). As for the food, chalk it up as the average in flight meals, about a 4.5 out of 5, but free alcohol for helping one fall asleep faster. Lavatory was pretty clean, but crowded for the most part due to the long flight and plenty of passengers stretching their legs and blocking the doors.
All and all, would I fly BA again? I think the answer is yes, but would love an A380 or 787-9, for the newer renovated cabin."
